Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
